As some of you may know, I had arranged to get soil delivered to my school for the next growing season. However, after further consideration, and the quotes for how much it would be, I decided against getting the soil. Also, I had to winterize the garden. So I talked to my mentor Mr. Dave Carswell. He talked about different things like companion planting, which I talked about in previous blogs, but he also mentioned something called a winter blanket. A winter blanket is a cover that you put on in the night and take off during the day. It is used to protect plants from snowfall, and keeps the heat in. I have made it so I roll it up, and its attached with clamps (Thanks Dad!).
Now, earlier I was talking about cancelling the soil delivery. Part of the reason for this is that I did not know if the soil we all ready had was not sufficient. Subsequently, I took pH and Temperature (Farenheit) measurements. Here are the results:
Planter | 1A | 2A | 3A | 4A | 1B | 2B | 3B | 4B | Planter: | 1A | 2A | 3A | 4A | 1B | 2B | 3B | 4B |

Have a great 2018! I will be continuing to update it every week
