We went to visit the Alderson Elementary community garden for some inspiration and advice for building our own garden! We really learned a lot from this trip, but the most important points are:
- Don’t go asking organizations for money. The principal of Alderson Elementary told us that businesses are much happier to donate money when they are invited to join in and participate then when people just go and ask them for money
- Kids are more interested in science if they are outside and actually experiencing it first hand.
