As we have began our bed in the school garden Chris and I have chosen to grow parsnip, turnips, and beets. I know they’re not everyone’s first choice, but someone should do them! Since I personally am inexperienced with growing plants, we had quite a bit of help from Shauna today to plant the first few sections of our bed, but I’m sure we will be able to manage our next planting, which is scheduled to happen in two weeks.We’re currently growing plants in half the bed, and in two weeks time once the seeds we planted today begin to germinate we will plant the rest of the bed! So far it has been great to learn and begin growing plants for the school and I am excited for the coming weeks and will be sure to write more and keep everybody up to date!
