Mobydick

We have a fish tank with 12 feeder fish to harvest fish water. 10 of the fish are gold, 1 is white and gold and the other one is black. All of the fish are healthy and growing fish except for the black one Mobydick. So today we separated him from the other and are feeding him by his self and hoping he will get better. When he was in the other tank with all the other fish he was all alone. Then lately he has just been floating around not using his fins that much and laying on the bottom. Today we noticed that he is way skinnier then the others, so we think he might not be getting enough food. We hope he will get better. Our question is why do you think he is not doing as well as the others?
